Step-by-Step
Phase 1: Final Preparation — Statues and Aristocracy
Before starting the endgame quests, you need the items that prove your status.
- Unlock Marble Quarry and Zombie Stone Quarrying (Building technology). Build the stations and assign high-quality Zombies (15%+) to mine and cut Marble, as you will need a lot of it.
- Sculpting Improvement: To ensure Gold quality on the statues, unlock Engineer (Blacksmithing technology) and Mason (Building technology).
- Essential Tool: Craft the Silver Chisel (Rod + Steel Parts + Lens) and use it to craft the Gold Chisel (70% chance). Sleep to save before attempting — if it fails, restart the game.
- Statues: Use the Gold Chisel to craft three Gold quality Engraved Marble Pieces (80% chance each). Sleep and save between attempts, as you need three Gold quality ones.
- The Document: Go to the Aristocrat donation box at the Church (on the left side of your Writing Desk) and buy the document for 12 Gold Coins.
Phase 2: The Rat’s Final Ritual and the Inquisitor
It’s time to complete the Rat’s quest, who has been searching for the ritual.
- On the Rat’s day, go to the Tavern and deliver the Golden Apple (from Dungeon Level 15) and the Dark Heart (loot from the Vampire Hunter).
- When the Rat asks if you want to “lick” the apple, accept to gain Blue Points.
- Cutscene (The Revelation): The Rat attempts the ritual but is interrupted by the Inquisitor. You discover that the Rat is the Inquisitor’s son and that all his wrath stemmed from the loss of his family.
- Reward: You receive the Infinite Notebook and the Ever-burning Coal.
Phase 3: The Brothers’ Reconciliation (Bishop and Merchant)
The Bishop needs you to upgrade the Church to a Cathedral and find an important person for the ceremony.
- Cathedral Upgrade: Deliver the three Gold Statues to the Bishop.
- Your Status: Deliver the Aristocrat Document to the Bishop.
- The Royal Guest: The Bishop asks you to convince the Inquisitor, but he declines. The Bishop then suggests finding someone from the Royal Court — the Merchant.
- Speak with the Merchant on his day. He will accept the invitation to reconcile with his brother (the Bishop), who is now the King’s Kitchen Keeper.
- Deliver the Authorized Invitation to the Bishop.
- Cutscene: The Bishop and Merchant reconcile during the ceremony, placing family above their sins (Pride and Gluttony).
- Reward: The Bishop gives you the Mirror of Pride, and you can get the Holy Fork from the Merchant.
Phase 4: The Love Saga (Charmosa, Astrologer, and Vagner)
You now help the Astrologer reconcile with his daughter, Charmosa, through the poet Vagner.
- Deliver the Gold Jeweler’s Details to Charmosa. (You should have crafted or bought these in the previous part for the Gold Prayer.)
- Charmosa needs a song. You suggest Vagner.
- The Poetic Genius: Vagner needs an infusion of Amanita Muscaria and Strong Alcohol for inspiration. Unlock the Alcohol Distiller and Strong Alcohol technology (Agriculture and Nature). Distill Wine to make Strong Alcohol and combine it with 3x Amanita Muscaria (Red Mushroom) to create the Infusion.
- Deliver the Infusion to Vagner. Wait a day — he will ask you to meet him at night near the Mountain Fort.
- Encounter: Vagner, now transformed into a werewolf, gives you the song but is captured by the Commander (who is revealed to be Vagner’s father).
- Deliver the Song to Charmosa. She falls in love with the poet and asks for help to save him.
- Ask the Astrologer for help. He, being Charmosa’s father, accepts to reconcile with her. He will ask for two books written under his name to organize an expedition: deliver the Silver Quality Book and then the Gold Quality Book.
- Deliver the Aristocrat Document again. The Astrologer and Charmosa head to the Mountain Fort.
- Cutscene (The Chaos): The Astrologer, Charmosa, Vagner, and the Commander meet. After immense family drama, everything is resolved.
- Reward: You receive the Golden Angle and the Pendant (the item your beloved was looking for).
Phase 5: The Grand Finale — Activating the Portal
With all the artifacts in hand, it’s time to go to the Portal on Witch Hill.
- Head to Witch Hill and interact with the Portal.
- Insert all the final artifacts you have collected: Infinite Notebook, Ever-burning Coal, Mirror of Pride, Golden Angle, Pendant, and Holy Fork.
- Climax: All NPCs come to say goodbye. The Portal activates, and your beloved finally appears.
Useful Tips
- Save Scumming is Key: For the Gold Chisel (70% chance) and the Statues (80% chance), always sleep to save before attempting the craft. Restart if you fail to avoid wasting valuable materials.
- The Money Logic: You need 12 Gold Coins for the Aristocrat Document. The best strategy is to focus on planting and selling Gold Quality Pumpkins (using Silver Fertilizer) to the Merchant on his day.
- Books for the Astrologer: If you followed the walkthrough, you will already have the Silver and Gold Books created for the Combined Prayer. Use them now for the Astrologer’s expedition quest.
What Comes Next — And The End
The base game of Graveyard Keeper ends here, with a deliberately open ending where your beloved returns, but you remain trapped. The journey concludes with you in Limbo and your beloved by your side, leaving it open whether you trapped her or if she also died.
If you want to continue, the DLCs Breaking Dead, Game of Crone, and Better Save Soul fill some of the story gaps and add more content, though the central mystery about who you are and what happened to the Village remains.
